June

Saturday, Ben worked in the yard all day so Lucas and I went to a jewelry party at Samantha's house (Ava's mom). Lucas was great and loved playing with Ava's toys while Mommy and her friends shopped. After all of that excitement, Lucas crashed out before we even left the neighborhood!
Sunday was pretty uneventful because Lucas and I just hung out around the house while Daddy did more work in the yard. We couldn't even go to the pool, but fortunately we have a small blow up pool for our yard that Lucas and I play in everyday. It's great because the pool is just a few feet wide and only a few inches tall and Lucas can crawl around in it while I "lay" out.

We brought Lucas' walker outside to see if he would enjoy cruising in it. He really does not like to be IN the walker, but he does like to push it!

Here is a video of the temper tantrum!!

Monday, we went to the pediatrician for our 9 month check-up and to re-check Luke's tummy problems. Lucas was cleared to be around other children, but not cleared for pool play in case he swallows any chlorine water and it messes up the healing process of his tummy. Everything else looked great; however, our homework was to do a poop collection! We'll see how that goes!

Tuesday we finally were able to host our Mommies Lunch and Playgroup! For lunch I had a bunch of types of tortilla wraps and several toppings. I brought out lots of toys for the babies to play with. Selena took a nap the entire lunch and Jackson loved the play mat and the "fish tv." Olivia loved the small activity table. She actually loved it so much that she did not want Lucas anywhere near her new toy!! Olivia and Lucas are so funny playing together. I love having another baby close to Luke's age around to watch them play.
Go to Sam's Blog (soskendigfamily.blogspot.com) to check out the video of the two of them playing!! (Under Blog Archive it is named "Sharing is NOT my stongest attribute).

Friday night we enjoyed going to GiGi's for dinner. Lucas and Pop-Pop were dressed like twins!!!

Saturday morning we enjoyed some family time at the pool. Lucas loves the water!!! He knows how to splash and kick when we say to, and is VERY proud of his newfound skill.
After the pool, we went to Whole Foods for some groceries. Lucas LOVES their plums. We ate dinner there where Lucas tried Mac and Cheese for the first time. Of course he fell in love and we thought it was his new favorite food until he stole a bite of gelato from me! We saw an entirely new side of Lucas when he ate ice cream and we took it away!!! Wow, we were those people in the store you pity when their kids are having a melt down!!! It wasn't like we were trying to torture him, we just had to check out and go home which means we can't feed him at the same time. Yep, he's been hooked ever since!

Sunday, we tried giving the rocking horse another go, but he is still not sure about it.

Later that day, we went up to Dahlonega and walked around all of the shops. Lucas got a new toy rattle and really enjoyed shopping with us. We ate at the Italian restaurant up there where Lucas tried lasagne and ravioli. It has become so much fun eating out with him and letting him try all of the different foods out there (especially since I don't have to pack as much now!).

Here is a video of Lucas playing Peek-a-boo at dinner...

Next week is a busy one!!
